Gavin is 3!!!

We love the farm!

We love to go to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark. Gavin likes to see the animals but mostly he likes to climb on the wooden train.

Gavin is two!!

Gavin is two and he had a very fun birthday party and loves his new "motorcycle". He loves to put his dog-cousin Charlie in the back for a ride.

Gavin loves when Greysen visits. Gavin likes to poke Greysen and hug him and run cars on Greysen's head. Oh, the fun they'll have when they are bigger!

Gavin is 18 months old! Special thanks to the awesome girl at JCPenney who got great shots of Gavin despite the fact that he was crying and refused to leave my lap. Yep, he's on my lap in every picture (and I do mean every, even when you think I'm not there, I'm there).

Gavin and his cousin Reese loved playing together during Reese's recent visit. They both love sitting on Gavin's favorite perch and giving each other hugs. Although this picture might make it look more like they are attacking each other...

For the last several months, Gavin has loved sitting in this little table and swinging his legs. I finally was able to get a video of him doing it! He's almost too tall to fit in there anymore!

Piano Man 2009

Gavin got a late Christmas present on New Year's Day-ish (Big shout out "Thank you" to Holly and Michael). He couldn't decide which he liked better: the new Gav-sized piano, or the big box it came in! In the video, you can see how he splits his time between both. It went on for quite some time and I thought it was pretty funny.

Build-A-Bear

Gavin built his first bear! He enjoyed picking out his bear, picking out the heart for the bear, and the fun stopped there. He DID NOT enjoy the noise the machine made that stuffs the bears. I guess he was still too young. He didn't need clothes for his bear, as we still had the outfits Gavin wore for Halloween last year. Here is a picture of my little bundle last October, and of Gavin with his bear wearing the outfit from last October.

Christmas Presents

Merry Christmas!

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to family and friends!
It’s a time for reflection, as 2008 ends.

We’ve had a great year, full of excitement and fun
Gavin is growing up fast, even if he’s only one!

This time last year, he wore a wee Santa suit,
But now he’s walking, climbing stairs, and singing to boot!

He has learned to sleep in his crib all alone
And this Spring his obsession was buttons on the phone.

Oh, what a shock when Grammy answered the door
With Gavin following behind, army crawling on the floor

She peaked her head out, blinded by a light, she cried “oh!’
Who was the visitor? Two officers of the Five-O.

Gavin, it seems, had called 911.
I guess to report that he was having so much fun!

His punishment, no more phone, may seem outlandish,
But the remote was next to go when the TV only knew Spanish.

The keychain privilege also lost, it broke his heart
But he kept pushing the buttons that made my car start.

From restaurants, church, or sitting at home
My car would be idling in the driveway all alone.

Oh, yes, Gavin’s a handful, but he couldn’t be cuter,
Even when he’s constantly turning off the computer.

That bright blue light is too much to ignore
He pushes the button and poof! My email draft is no more.

Gavin surely does keep me on my toes
Or on the ground, in pain, after he bites HARD on my nose.

But at the end of the day, my heart he does keep.
When I see that sweet angel finally asleep!
